Writing Assignment 2 (Friday April 24th)

Hi everyone!

This week we have another writing assignment. We are going to plan a fictional story. That means you are going to invent 1) the characters and 2) what happens to them. You can have fun and be creative!

Here is the format we are going to use to plan our stories:

Title:the name of your story
Introduction: introduce the characters, learn important things about the story
Build-up: the main points of the story are developed so we learn more
Conflicts: difficulties/adventures for the characters
Climax: the worst/most difficult point for the characters
Resolution: what happens in the end

Here is an example:

Title: The Scary Supermarket Adventure
Introduction: The characters include Nick and Cole, two boys from America who are living in Spain. They are stuck in their house during a quarantine.
Build up: Nick and Cole run out of food, and they must visit the supermarket.
Conflicts: Unfortunately, there are monsters in Madrid trying to steal Nick and Cole's money. They must go to the supermarket without encountering a monster.
Climax: On their way to the supermarket, a scary, flying monster sees them and begins to chase them.
Resolution: The monster stops Nick and Cole, and tells them that he is not trying to steal their money; he is a friendly monster. Cole and Nick climb on the monster's back, and fly to the supermarket and then back home.
